Data management, including data replication, is a central aspect on the desing of distributed systems and information systems, ranging from web to Internet of Things applications. Considering increasing scale of such systems, motivated by growing user bases or by the increase of data sources and volumes, partial replication is becoming
an increasing relevant aspect that should be tackled by data storage and management systems.
In this project we propose ourselves to tackle new emergent challenges in data storage and management systems related with three complementary aspects:
Results of this research will be demonstrated through propotypes that explore the benefits and usefulness of these results in scenarios such as global-scale web applications and emerging large-scale Internet of Things scenarios.
